Another thing that is very important is to carry a little notepad and pencil in your pocket everywhere and write down all the new words you encounter. And, as we’ve seen above, it’s not necessary to encounter a new word only in print – someone could use it in a sentence spoken to you, for example. The important thing is to write it down as quickly as possible, to look it up, and to make efforts to remember it.
